If you plan on sending your holiday gifts or cards with FedEx, you might want to get moving.
The deadline for FedEx Ground Economy shipping has arrived, so if you plan on sending your packages in a cost-efficient way its best to head to your friendly neighborhood FedEx before the day is up.
This shipping option is best for folks whose deliveries are “ low-weight, low-value, and nonurgent,” FedEx says on its website. There are a couple things to note before you opt to send your package this way, such as delivery time, maximum package size and weight limit and exceptions.
The good news is that even if are unable to send your package this way due to time constraints, there are other shipping options and carriers to choose from.

FedEx’s recommended mail-by dates will ensure that your Christmas package arrives to your loved one on or before Sunday, Dec. 24.

All of the recommended “mail-by dates” provided by the United States Postal Service can help ensure that your card or package arrives by Monday, Dec. 25.
The Postal Service announced on Oct. 10 that it will not add any additional surcharges this holiday season, meaning that there are no additional fees for residential area delivery, for Saturday delivery, no fuel surcharges and no volume minimums.
