The charm has worn off.
Jarrett "JT" Thomas announced that he quit Southern Charm ahead of the reality show's upcoming tenth season, which is set to premiere on Bravo Dec. 5.
"It comes with a heavy heard to share that I have resigned from Southern Charm," JT wrote on Instagram Nov. 8. "Yesterday I informed Bravo that I will not be participating in the 2-3 remaining green room interviews remaining before szn airs 12/5 (I've done about ~9 thus far leading up to today) and that I no longer wish to participate in any ways moving forward with the TV show."
While the season wrapped principal photography earlier this year, the cast is still filming confessionals for season 10.
In his statement, the reality star—who joined the show as a full-time cast member in season nine—implied that he'd been through the wringer during filming.
"I will leave it at that," JT added, "while I work on next steps to recover both physically and mentally from what has been an extremely challenging & exhausting year."
E! News has reached out to Bravo for comment but has not heard back.
His sudden announcement came less than two weeks after the trailer dropped for Southern Charm's tenth season Oct. 28.
In the teaser, JT is seen flirting with fellow cast member Venita Aspen and is also seemingly accused of calling the show's matriarch Patricia Altschul a "b---h" by Craig Conover.
Costar Madison LeCroy responds by saying "he'll be the b---h when I'm done with him," which reflects cryptic comments she made about JT recently.
"We're getting rid of him, so we won't say," Madison told Entertainment Tonight Oct. 15. "I'm putting an end to it. He's done."
JT's flirtation with Venita in the season ten trailer came a week before he debuted his new girlfriend Ali Pereless on Instagram.
"Long overdue," he captioned a Nov. 3 carousel post featuring images of them looking loved up. "#itscomplicated."
While JT's departure precedes what promises to be a drama-packed season for him on the Charleston-set Bravo show, that isn't something new for the real estate professional.
During season nine of Southern Charm, JT pursued Taylor Ann Green romantically. After she rejected him, he got into a physical altercation with her ex—and their costar—Austen Kroll in the season finale.
(E! and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)

After just one year of marriage, resident southern belle Madison grapples with the loss of her father and finds herself dealing with issues far from her days as the single party girl. While she focuses on her family, she finds out that JT is meddling in rumors that cross the line.
After breaking up with boyfriend Manny last year, Venita realizes that she and JT have an undeniable attraction and connection that goes deeper than most. She starts to question her feelings toward him amidst preserving her own friendships with those he may not be on the best terms with.
JT continues to be an outspoken rabble-rouser, stirring up controversy wherever he goes. Despite his best intentions, his rapport with many in the group starts to go up in flames. However, Venita turns out to be his constant and offers a shoulder to lean on as he tries to mend friendships.
After Shep’s declaration to change at the end of last season, he attended an ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica and is now determined to make real growth. He has even fallen head-over-heels in love with the former Miss Bahamas, but the group questions if she feels the same way about him.
Leva continues to be a sounding board for her friends and isn’t afraid to call out their bad behavior when they step out of line.
Salley is the latest to grace Charleston’s vibrant social scene. She’s a bubbly party girl by night and a robotics technician for surgical procedures by day. The debutante is gorgeous, intelligent and independent, and she shares a curiously parallel romantic past with Taylor.
