Julia Fox looks like a total gem with her new hair.
The Uncut Gems actress traded her platinum blonde locks for a shaggy brunette look featuring trendy curtain bangs and soft waves.
And while the new ‘do looks au naturel, her hairstylist Dylan Silver revealed just how much looks can be deceiving. As he wrote on Instagram July 17, "Custom fully hand-tied wig for @juliafox built by me for a special upcoming project."
Dylan shared a mirror selfie of Julia with the wig on, as well as the product-making process. In one photo, the OMG Fashun host had a plastic cap on her head with mappings of her hairline, and others showed the wig on a mannequin head during its styling.
The 34-year-old is no stranger to dramatic hair transformations, however. While her latest look is a subtle chocolate brown, she stepped out in April with a macaroni and cheese-inspired hairstyle, complete with orange pinned curls.
Her hair stylist John Novotny couldn't help but gush over the bold style she opted for.
"Julia is the absolute queen of self-expression and always exudes confidence which is on par with living a life that's La Dolce Velveeta," he told People. "She lives an unapologetic lifestyle and does what feels good for her."
And whether it’s a new hairstyle, a flesh-colored bra with fake chest hair and a prosthetic nipple or shoes made of hair extensions, Julia is always down to experiment with her style.
"I'm very instinctual," she told E! News last September. "I'm not a calculated type of celebrity trying to sell stuff. It's genuinely how I'm feeling, or if I want to express myself in a certain way or share something with the world."
